Focus uses emails or phone numbers to identify users for login purposes. Users can request a one-time password to log in with over email or mobile text messages. In some cases Timespace support may contact users personally in a non-automated manner to resolve account specific issues.
Emails are sent by SendGrid and text messages by Twilio. Focus and Timespace Platform data is stored encrypted on Google and Amazon Web Services and the encryption keys are managed by them. The Focus code that processes user data runs on Google Cloud.
Timespace uses IP addresses to help diagnose problems with servers and to understand where users come from.
Removal of Data
To protect data from accidental deletion, records are marked deleted and hidden from feeds when using the delete function. To permanently delete data, contact firstname.lastname@example.org and supply the record IDs to delete. An easier user interface may be implemented if deletion requests become more frequent.
